The holiday months are upon us and November is my favorite month of the year. I love the anticipation of the holidays, enjoying visits with friends and family, and the feeling of gratitude that is cultivated throughout the month, culminating in a Thanksgiving celebration. This is the month to focus on all that we are grateful for – it is the month of the little things – that truly can be the biggest things when you pause long enough to think about it.
This year I’m thankful for so much, too much to detail, but here are a few highlights: I’m thankful for my husband, our kids, my family, and my friends, and the health and well-being of each. We’ve all experienced challenging moments this year and it makes me more grateful that we’ve survived and thrived through them. I’m thankful that I’m living in and raising our children in a safe community and in a loving home. I’m thankful that our Bernese Mountain Dog Matti has now lived more than 10 ½ years! I’m thankful for each of my clients who trust me to guide them in the process of buying or selling their home. And I’m thankful that I get to do something I truly love, helping people live their lives in a home they love.
The days and weeks will begin to rush by as we approach the end of the year. I’m going to ask time to slow down by taking a few moments each day to write down those things I’m grateful for. I’d love to hear what you’re grateful for too.
